Personalized Gifts - My Story

Personalized gifts make wonderful thoughtful gifts.

My earliest memory of creating things was when I was 5. I was at the beach with my grandparents
and it rained every day. I was bored to tears, so my Great Grandmom Quaile taught me to crochet. Since then,
I've always had a craft project to work on. I enjoy pretty much any type of handiwork. From knitting and
crocheting, to sewing, embroidery, and creating my own patterns and designs, I love making things that are unique.
I especially enjoy personalizing things and giving unique gifts.

The inspiration for beginning embroidery came when I received an embroidered fleece blanket as a gift
when my youngest was born. It is a cozy keepsake, and even today, it is still everyone's favorite
when it is a bit chilly in the car. I wanted to share our enjoyment of this cozy treasure, so I started
personalizing fleece blankets for my family and friends. Then I designed and started giving my
Personalized Framed Art as gifts. Everyone loved having their family's names and special days
embroidered to help make their houses feel more like homes.

Starting kam Sew Unique and becoming a WAHM (Work atHome Mom) seemed like a great way
to incorporate my creative designs with staying home and homeschooling >my children. Many personal
ideas and memories are woven with love through my designs. Our fleece blankets and framed art make unique
gifts for every occasion, surely to be treasured for years to come.

Look for my signature symbol on the corner of all the fleece blankets I embroider. It is an "m" with
a squiggle through it. This is a variation of my initials (kam) that my grandfather came up with when I was
a child. He etched it into my toys and it seemed perfect for me to use to sign my creations.
